This small alley giving on Rua do Poço dos Negros is a very quiet area. It's located on the famous tramway line E28 ( from Graça convent to Estrela chrurch thru Lisboa castelo on top of Alfama area ). You are there in the middle of every thing ( two minutes walking distance from Santa Catarina church and miradouro, 7 minutes from Bairro Alto, Praça Camões, café Brasileira... ). You can eventually use the train line to Cascais boarding at Santos station ( 5 minutes walking distance ) |

This area was build and renovated before the eighteenth century. More recently a neighboor restored a small palace just at the corner of the alley. It's a very rich área to admire the tiles -- azulejos -- on the buildings ( a good mix of every period of them ). It's part of the Santa Catarina parish with it's wonderfull church nearby the apartment. |
